The newborn photography studio is located in the heart of the vibrant South Melbourne near the trendy Melbourne CBD . It’s just a 10-minute walking distance to Royal Botanical where I often do maternity sessions. The surrounding beautiful parks such as Fitzroy Garden and Carlton Garden are stunning places perfect for photography sessions in the Autumn season photography sessions.
My photography studio specializes in capturing captivating newborn and family portraits I use high quality gear and exceptional quality props. Most of the props in my studio are handmade and sourced from all over the world. I also make my own props as I love to knit.
Studio Lighting Setup Newborn Photography
Studio lighting setup for newborn photography is vital to keep them from getting fussy. My lighting setup works together with the poses I safely put them on. The lights are not overwhelming to your baby while ensuring that their faces and other details are clearly seen.
I always look at how the light is falling on the baby and move my light as needed. I love how with using one light can create beautiful shadows and definition on the tiny angels.
Safety Before Creativity
As much as I want to take awesome photos of your babies in creative poses, their safety is never compromised.I a mum and I feel protective in every infant I work with. Newborns are resilient especially when there are less than 2 weeks old. But they are also fragile.
This is why I only do natural poses which I learned in my advanced training in Newborn Posing Safety. I am immunised and conscious with hygiene especially that I was also a trained nurse. I even had my training in pediatric nursing and handled delicate infants in NICU.
Maternity Studio Session
Aside from taking newborn photos, I also adore maternity photography.
During pregnancy, there are moments when we don’t feel the “glow” people talk about. I want to help expectant mothers remember the magic and wonder of their pregnancy. They can relive the anticipation and excitement of welcoming their newborn.
You are always welcome to visit my studio or book an outdoor session. My advice is to have your session between 32 to 36 weeks of pregnancy. The earlier you book, the more time we can have to plan your theme, dress, props, and poses.
You can also bring along your loved ones!
Nothing will make me happier when I capture the moments of your little treasure and your family!
